Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains which personal data are processed when you visit extra-vergine-schweiz.ch. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Controller

The controller is the editorial team of Extra Vergine Schweiz. Contact: info@extra-vergine-schweiz.ch.

2. What we do not do

We use no analytics or tracking tools of our own and run no contact forms, newsletter or user accounts. Fonts and images are loaded from our own server, not from third parties.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When a page is requested, technically necessary data are processed, in particular IP address, date and time, requested address, referrer and browser information. These data serve the secure and stable operation of the website and are not combined with other data. The legal basis under the GDPR is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Advertising with Google AdSense

We fund the website through Google AdSense, a service of Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, measure their effectiveness and, where you have consented, show personalised ads. Visitors from Switzerland, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom are asked for consent via a consent dialog; you can change your choice at any time. The legal basis under the GDPR is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

More information: How Google uses cookies in advertising and Google Privacy Policy. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ad Settings.

5. Contact by email

If you email us, we use your details only to handle your request and delete them once they are no longer needed.

6. Retention, data security and automated decisions

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose or legal obligations. Server log files are deleted automatically by the hosting provider after a short time. The website is served exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We make no automated individual decisions within the meaning of Art. 21 FADP and do not create profiles.

7. Disclosure abroad

Vercel and Google may process data in the USA and other countries. Transfers are based on appropriate safeguards, in particular the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data and to have them corrected or deleted, and to object to processing; under the GDPR also to restriction of processing and data portability. Please contact us at the email address above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or a data protection authority in the EU.

9. Changes

We update this privacy policy when our website or the law changes. Last updated: September 2026.
